Giving Thanks While Watching the Carbs
During the Holidays, some of us splurge. Some find it VERY difficult to get back into the healthy swing of things especially when watching carbs. If this is you but you still want that traditional Thanksgiving dinner, here’s some recipe help (pick and choose what you like).
NOTE: I don’t LOVE artificial sweeteners, but, in my experience, they can make or break success on some dietary regimens…just don’t use them (or any sugar) chronically.
Turkey (or any meat): eat up!

Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea!
Approximate macros if interested:
· 76 g protein (based on 6 oz turkey)
· 65-71 g fat (depending on turkey meat)
· 21-24 g carbohydrate (real); may increase turkey and decrease pumpkin pie if you desire less.
· 11 g fiber (thus “net carbs” = 10-13).
· + sweeteners…generally more is less; depends on the person and their goals & preferences.
Ingredients are preferably organic or grass-fed/finished as able.
Don’t forget to help each other cleanup after and/or go for a light relaxing walk by yourself or with friend, loved one or family.
Note: I did not come up with these recipes. I simply explored, found and appreciate them for a lower carb dinner. You can do this too! If you ever need help, just call me for a session at: 561-436-6617.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
Sincerely,
Diane
