Wellness Clarified Will Improve Your Employee Wellness

(productivity, culture & health care costs).

We specialize in getting to the root-cause of most chronic disease which is poor metabolic health caused by poor diet and lifestyle choices (intentional or not). This is why increasing awareness via individualized counseling and targeted programs including appropriate, non-cookie-cutter education and offering sustainable choices that enhance metabolic regulation is so effective.

Improving metabolic health is the key.

“Half the costs of illness are wasted on conditions that could be prevented.”

– Dr. Joseph Pizzorno

Our C.L.E.A.R Approach to Wellness®, is applicable to all worksites and offers various avenues to open the mind of employees who may or may not realize they at are at risk for the most common (& less common) chronic diseases which impact their quality of life and your business.

Nutrition and other lifestyle aspects of our program emphasize cardio-metabolic health of which impacts most chronic disease, mental health, resilience, even life choices including financial management thus quality of life, and healthcare costs.

This is accomplished by the incorporation of evidence-based psychosocial models of health behavior adoption, flexible yet effective metabolic food therapy via one-on-one counseling with employee (& family as desired), wellness hub with demos, videos, education campaigns, challenges, incentives, and more.

This means improved:

1- Health and wellness available to ALL of your employees.

2- Improved morale and employee retention.

3- Enhanced productivity and improved functionality.

4- High quality reputation.

5- Lower medical care costs.

This program is flexible, adaptive, and effective.

You and your employees deserve what works.

Corporate Wellness Program Options

  • Option #1

This option provides your employees access to nutrition and lifestyle counseling by Diane Kopelakis, MS, RD, the Evolved Dietitian. This option is a great gap-filler for a wellness or EAP program.

  • Option #2

This option is a 2-month program created specifically for the metabolically unwell: pre-diabetic, Type 2 diabetic, or metabolic syndrome (others may be approved for this program). CONSIDER THIS PROGRAM IF YOU HAVE A FULL WELLNESS PROGRAM BUT YOUR DISEASE-MANAGEMENT HAS NOT BEEN EFFECTIVE.

  • Option #3

    FULL WELLNESS PROGRAM

This option includes Options 1 & 2 plus a COMPLETE wellness program based on the needs of your employee population. LET US DO THE HEAVY LIFTING FOR YOU.

    Success is inevitable!

BE AWARE…

WE ARE NOT BODY WEIGHT-CENTRIC

BUT, weight loss IS a common side effect for those with higher BMIs.

Weight-focused wellness programs DO NOT work because they:

1- Single out and encourage blame on those that may be larger (~65+% of the population) yet possibly more metabolically healthy than their thinner counterparts.

2- Turn-off employees who think “perfection” is the goal.

3- Ignore a large portion of the workforce. Those with high blood pressure at a lower body weight are often more metabolically unhealthy than the normal blood pressure overweight population. Note that almost 90% of us are metabolically unhealthy while 65+% of us are overweight or obese. The other 10% are blessed or on their way.

4- Focusing on body weight simply DOES NOT WORK because body weight is not just body fat. Body fat-ness is a symptom of only one small aspect of poor metabolic health. This symptom improves when metabolic health improves.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This does not mean that we don’t provide weight loss programs. This means that we don’t judge or incentivize based on body weight or BMI unless improvements were made. We do not take punitive action related to body weight. This not only does not cause a problem with effectiveness of the wellness program but improves it for the reasons posted above.

Their success is your success.

“It’s not about obesity, it never was.

The key to the kingdom is that it is not about obesity, it is about metabolic dysfunction and anyone can get it, and that’s what makes it a public health crisis, because obesity is a result of the problem, not the cause.

— Robert Lustig, MD, MSL

Employee nutrition & lifestyle counseling is a staple in wellness programs and is available in two forms (see options below). But of even more importance is a program that caters to the mind-set of the individual.

Each program focuses on meeting the individual where they’re at with a focus on reducing nutrition-based metabolic issues impacting their quality of life, health, corporate productivity and insurance costs. Many of these issues manifest as seemingly unrelated, benign conditions, but they are not and THEY COST YOU and your employees a great deal. Examples include:

  • High blood pressure

  • High blood glucose

  • Deranged blood lipids

  • Inflammation

  • Poor focus

  • Forgetfulness

  • Absenteeism

  • Depression

  • Fatigue

  • Anxiety

  • Some cancers

  • Poor immunity & MORE.

How much are you paying for these?

We provide more than “health coaching”
and “Disease-management”.

We don’t “manage” disease. We aim for “disease remission/resolution”and optimal health and wellness. We provide medical-nutrition therapy to improve cardiometabolic heatlh which is superior to “health” coaching or disease-management services provided by other companies.
